Multi touch books for iPad

 

UXED designs and publishes digital books that can be read on an Apple iPad or Apple's iBooks desktop application. We bring the experience of user centred design, app development, media production and software engineering to the creation of multi-touch digital books. In our research work we are investigating next generation of interactive reading experiences. We are also thinking about how to shape the future of education and assess what technologies are appropriate in education. Digital books can do so much more than present the words and pictures. Digital books are just another software form of an app especially since widgets make them programmable.

Highly Inflamably is the travel diary of Frank Arnold (Awarding Winning Australian Film Director) and Noel Cantrill (Award Winning Sound Engineer). The Convict Adventure at Wallis Plains

 

Winner of the Interpretation Australia 2016 Best of Excellence Award.

 

The Convict Adventure at Wallis Plains invites students to explore the life and times of Maitland’s first European settlement and the 12 convicts chosen to live there.  The book is filled with written content, photographs (old and new), audio and video media and interactive widgets for use in the classroom. Designed to support Stage 2 and Stage 3 NSW History syllabus outcomes.
