UXED carries out the research and ground work to understand the user experience challenges and then provide design solutions that meet those challenges. In conjunction with Maitland City Council and Convergence Assoociates, UXED and partner team has won the Interpretation Australia Award of Excellence for projects between $50,000 - $150,000. The project is an educational project at the Walka Water Works site. UXED design the Walka Bird app which was carried out in consultation with the Hunter Bird Observers Society.
NSW Blue Star Sustainability Cultural Heritage Award 2016 with Maitland Council, Conserving Glebe Cemetery. UXED worked closely with a cemetery conservation expert to analyse information structures and workflows particularly around the data that is collected on site and how it is interpreted and used. Based on this research and user insights, UXED designed a database solution to enable mobile field data collection and additional reporting. Interpretation Australia Best of Excellence Award 2016 for Convict Settlers Multitouch Book. UXED designed the digital book and the interactive widgets in Maitland City Council's digital book, The Convict Adventures at Wallis Plains. Read more from the Maitland Press Release.
